Jason Chung, Physiotherapist
Growing up on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Jason participated in many outdoor sports throughout his life. His admiration and love for sport and athletic development led to the completion of his Bachelors of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. As a competitive sports player, Jason has had first hand experience with the impact of injuries and how challenging the recovery process can be. His involvement in rehabilitation, wellness, and health optimization and performance led him to his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Brighton.
Jason enjoys utilizing a patient-centric approach to treatment with an emphasis on goal setting to ensure patients become self-sufficient in their long term wellness goals. Drawing into his passion and expertise, his goal is to improve people’s overall health and performance so that they can live a fulfilling life.
In his spare time, Jason enjoys being outdoors playing golf, playing basketball with friends, and travelling to new places.

Sarah Atkinson, Physiotherapist
Sarah graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2020. Prior to pursuing physical therapy, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Kinesiology (Active Health and Rehab Concentration; Co-operative Education) and a certificate in Health and Fitness Studies at Simon Fraser University. Her appreciation for the power of rehabilitation stems from her experience working as a kinesiologist and volunteering at a paediatric physiotherapy clinic during her undergraduate degree. She has also taken additional courses in communication/coaching and IMS (dry needling).
To help her clients improve their function, Sarah uses a treatment approach that combines personalized exercise programs with education and appropriate manual therapy techniques. She enjoys helping clients deepen their understanding of their conditions and the appropriate treatments. Sarah is passionate about working together with clients to enable them to reach their individual goals and she loves to celebrate all the little victories that come with recovering from an injury.
Outside of physiotherapy, Sarah loves reading, playing board games, and travelling.

SJ Kang, Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
SJ is a passionate Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in British Columbia. Beginning his career graduating with a Bachelors of Physiotherapy from Daegu University in South Korea in 2014 then moving to Canada in 2018, his passion in wellness and human anatomy led him to pursue a career as an RMT. In addition to his education and being a Vancouver Career College RMT program graduate, he brings extensive clinical training and experience in treating a wide range of conditions.
SJ is confident in treating individuals who spend prolonged periods sitting, walking, or standing. He employs palpation techniques to identify trigger points and effectively release muscle tension. His utilization of various techniques and modalities, such as, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilization, and PNF, allows him to draw from his background in physiotherapy and bodywork to ensure appropriate pressure during sessions, minimize patient’s soft tissue damage, and support patients improve their quality of life.
Outside of work, you can catch SJ outside hiking, snowboarding, or playing recreational sports at the park. He also loves to travel around the world and explore new food and cultures!

Jared Quon, Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
Born and raised in Burnaby, Jared grew up playing many competitive sports such as soccer, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball. These experiences cultivated his passion for health and rehabilitation leading him to complete a Bachelor of Sciences in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. Throughout his studies, Jared expanded his knowledge and skills while working as a kinesiologist, athletic therapist, and high school coach. Following graduation, Jared pursued a career as a RMT at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) where he graduated in 2023 on the Dean’s list and awarded the Heart Award for exemplary compassion and integrity.
As a therapist, Jared is committed to helping others by using various techniques to promote muscle relaxation and stress management. His expertise covers orthopedic conditions, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, general muscle tension, and deep tissue treatments. He firmly believes that with a focus on good communication and client-centered care, he’ll be able to make a positive impact on people’s day-to-day life.
In his free time, Jared enjoys staying active and playing sports. You can usually find him out at local parks on the weekends playing spikeball or throwing a frisbee with friends. He enjoys discovering music and is always looking for new recommendations.

Philip Chung, Kinesiologist
Born and raised in Burnaby, Philip has participated in sports, such as high-level men’s soccer. His passion for sports, athletic development, and performance led him to complete a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. When working with patients, he provides support and knowledge for patients to achieve their health goals and learn while they recover.
In addition to being a Kinesiologist, he works part-time as a licensed Burnaby FC Coach for various age teams. In the near future, Philip plans to pursue further education to become a Physiotherapist and continue growing his experience. With the desire to help people improve from their injuries and overall function, Philip will ensure a holistic and patient-centric approach for his patients.
During his down time, Philip enjoys playing soccer, running or training for marathons, and boxing.

Courtenay Go, Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
Courtenay is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC - #16885) and Registered Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellor with the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals (CVRP - #1191). She holds a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology, with a focus in Vocational Rehabilitation Counselling from the University of British Columbia.
For as long as she can remember, Courtenay has enjoyed helping others and aims to provide her clients the support they need to achieve their goals. She plans to do so through the establishment of a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients from the outset of treatment.
Prior to forging a career path as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellor, she worked for various non-profit, community-based programs, supporting youth with co-occurring disorders in the attainment of their educational and vocational pursuits as well as in the development of life skills to help them be successful when they transition out of care into either a semi-independent or independent living arrangement. Courtenay has a special interest in working with youth and teachers. Courtenay has experience working with clients, both youth and adults, who face a wide range of disabling conditions including: stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, soft tissue injuries, grief, loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, addictions, and individuals who present with co-occurring disorders. She has also worked with individuals seeking support with return to work and overcoming the barriers that may be present as a result of their ongoing residual limitations. Courtenay’s therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based methods such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing, along with people-centered and strengths-based approaches.
In her spare time, you can find Courtenay outdoors, exploring nature with her trusty dog companion, Rolo, or exploring the latest cuisines that our beautiful city has to offer with her family and friends.

Jasmine Li, Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
Deeply passionate about mental health and wellness, Jasmine holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She practices both as a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in mental health and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (#25123).
With a direct yet compassionate approach, Jasmine works from a nonjudgmental, person-centred perspective, fostering strong and trusting therapeutic relationships. She supports clients in exploring their unique experiences, emotions, and challenges, tailoring her approach to meet their individual needs. Her goal in therapy is to help clients gain meaningful insight, build resilience, and develop effective strategies for growth and healing. To achieve this, she integrates evidence-based interventions from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Coming from a Chinese-Canadian background, Jasmine is also keenly aware of multicultural issues and the complexities of identity, belonging, and cultural adaptation. She is particularly attuned to the experiences of first-generation immigrants and their families as they navigate differing cultural expectations.

Clarissa Low, Acupuncturist
Born and raised in Vancouver, Clarissa Low is a second generation acupuncturist following her father's footsteps. As a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (RTCMP) with over a decade of professional experience, she provides customized acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments to her patients for long term success of various conditions.
Being in the distinctive position of standing in between Eastern and Western cultures, Clarissa feels the importance of bridging communication and understanding to share the wisdom of ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine to a growing group of people interested to experience it for themselves and to integrate it into their journey for good health.
In her free time, Clarissa enjoys catching up on TV dramas, cooking, crocheting silly toys for her kids, and taking long walks surrounded by nature.

Jou-Chieh (Jessica) Lee, Acupuncturist
Jessica is a dedicated healthcare professional with a passion for holistic healing. She graduated from Vancouver Career College as a Registered Acupuncturist, specializing in pain management. Her commitment to comprehensive care led her to complete the TCM Practitioner program, focusing on herbalism, and she is currently awaiting licensing as a practitioner in this field.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Jessica finds joy in staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She is an avid tennis player, finding both physical and mental rejuvenation on the court. Additionally, Jessica embraces the challenge of weight training, recognizing its benefits for strength, endurance, and overall well-being.

David Canales Zorrilla, Strength & Conditioning (S&C) Coach
David developed a passion for sports at a young age, typically spending more time outdoors than at home. His love for athlete development and sports performance led to the completion of a Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia, where he has returned as a graduate student to advance his expertise through a Master of Kinesiology, specializing in performance and coaching. Alongside his degree, he has continued coaching various sports, including sprint swimming, youth soccer, and track (short sprints). He believes that lessons learned through sport can translate to success and fulfillment in all areas of life, and these are lessons he seeks to share with his clients.
As a S&C Coach, David enjoys helping athletes strive for their most ambitious goals. He focuses on long-term athlete development, appreciating the balance between performance and longevity to keep athletes healthy and enjoying their sport. He has worked with athletes of various skill levels and sporting backgrounds, including at the varsity level through an internship with UBC Strength and Conditioning.
David continues to play competitive men's soccer, and you may see him on the pitch as a stretcher bearer for the Vancouver Whitecaps!

With a deep passion for health, fitness, and helping others, she is dedicated in assisting injured workers on their journey back to the workplace, while offering essential support and guidance for successful recovery.
Additionally, Val cherishes listening to stories from family, friends, and clients, which continue to inspire her commitment in helping others achieve their goals and live a meaningful life.
Outside of work, Val is an avid tennis and volleyball player, and has a love for travel - having explored 15 countries! She enjoys trying different cuisines and discovering unique restaurants around the world. She loves finding new places around the lower mainland to walk their dog, Tantan.

Sam Yi, Operations Coordinator
Sam is a graduate of the Kinesiology program from Simon Fraser University, with a concentration in active health and rehabilitation. With a strong background in children and youth recreation, he considers it a privilege to have worked for esteemed organizations, such as, the YMCA in New South Wales, Australia, and the City of Port Moody.
